Phase II Site Investigations and Characterizations

When a Phase I ESA identifies a REC or the potential for soil contamination, it may be advisable to conduct further due diligence to evaluate the potential contamination by performing a Phase II ESA.

A Phase II helps determine the presence or absence of subsurface contamination (petroleum products or hazardous waste) at the site. Our staff of geologists and environmental scientists possess expertise in Phase II Environmental project design. TEC performs the Phase II in accordance with the ASTM E1903-11 Standard Guide for Environmental Site Assessments: Phase II Environmental Site Assessment Process or to meet a client’s specific needs.

Capabilities:

  • Assess petroleum contaminated sites
  • Assess chlorinated solvent contaminated sites
  • ASTM Standard E1903-11
  • Direct push technology (DPT)
  • Soil sampling
  • Ground water sampling
  • Soil gas sampling
  • Site characterizations per State regulatory requirements
  • VPSTF reimbursement
  • Surface and drinking water quality testing
  • Phase III – remediation systems design (in situ and ex situ) and installation
